A Simple Plan

It's so simple. Four times a year, 100 women gather and donate $100 each. Conduct a one hour meeting. Choose a charity and immediately invest $10,000. Giving made easy and fun!

Driven by a desire to make a difference and inspired by other successful

100+ Women Who Care groups around the world including our own 100 Men Who Care Ottawa,

we created a local philanthropic group of dynamic women determined to build a strong community.

 

Our giving circle began in April 2014 when two groups of women joined forces to launch something special. Our inaugural meeting was May 5, 2014 where over 100+ women gathered raising $11,925 in one hour! Today, we have raised over $344,860 for local charities and we are just getting started!

We are an informal, inclusive and grassroots group of people who identify as women who want to make a difference.

Our local chapter and events are led by an Executive Committee of dedicated volunteers.

We host four events annually at a central, fully accessible, locally-operated restaurant. Three local charities present at each event and members choose their charity.

 

100% of funds raised go directly to the charities. Our goal is to support the important work of our local charities through funding and providing exposure in a simple and time effective manner. 

We bring together Ottawa's caring women to network, learn and give.​​​​​​

Our Values

• Continuously attract new members so our Chapter is stronger and can help local charities

• Create a memorable giving experience that inspires and motivates our members at every event to do more and be more

• Support women and cheer each other on by creating an inclusive environment that encourages women to grow and learn from and beside one another

• Advocate for local charities not just every quarter, but all year long. To be a resource local charities can rely on for exposure and support when they need it most

• Develop meaningful relationships with each other as well as our Ottawa community to promote awareness of our intent to help local charities serve our community
